A little bit about me. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Dallas, Texas. I specialize in working with children, teens, adults, and families who are grieving the loss of a loved one. I have extensive knowledge in the subject of grief, and I enjoy working with those who are on their grief journey.
As you’ll see through my blog posts, I have experienced a great amount of grief myself. My father died after an 11 year illness when I was 9. When I was 14 my grandmother, who had filled in as a caregiver my entire life, died from pancreatic cancer. Then at the age of 19, my mom died unexpectedly. I decided to go into the mental health field because I wanted to be able to connect with those who are on their grief journey.
I also have made it my mission to raise awareness and start conversations about grief. Grief is something all of us will eventually experience, but none of us are allowed to talk about it. I would like to change that. I do this through speaking engagements, my blog posts, and frequently in day to day conversations I have with colleagues and friends. I enjoy speaking about this topic, and I would be happy to come speak on your podcast, any community event, or radio show. I have extensive knowledge specific to child and adolescent grief and would love to share it with others. Please contact me if you would like to book me for a speaking engagement.
